SUTD’s Master of Urban Science, Policy and Planning (MUSPP) programme by LKYCIC was recently featured at The Straits Times Education Forum 2026, mentioned by the Ministry of Education on the use of artificial intelligence in higher education. The Forum guides the next stage of AI use and adoption across Singapore’s higher-education sector.
The feature highlighted how MUSPP students are leveraging custom-built AI agents in their learning. As noted in the video and the article, master’s students were able to translate urban planning ideas into instantaneous visuals and receive technical feedback through AI tools in a masterplanning studio. The masterplanning studio is one of the hands-on experiences incorporated in the elective course “Creating the Frontier of No-code Smart City” in the MUSPP curriculum. This elective provides opportunities for students to push the frontiers of what citizens can create for the smart city with no-code Gen AI.
This recognition reflects MUSPP’s innovative approach to integrating AI into education—where students actively design and co-create with AI to enhance problem-solving and urban analysis. It also underscores SUTD’s broader leadership in advancing human-AI collaboration in teaching and learning.
