We celebrated the graduation of MUSPP 6th Cohort on 2 September! Surrounded by friends, family, and faculty, our MUSPPer 6.0 donned their graduation gowns and hoods for Commencement 2024!

Our students from Costa Rica, Indonesia, India, Jordan, the Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan received their hard-earned degree scrolls on stage as their names were called out with applause.

A day our students have worked hard for!

One more reason for us to celebrate: This year’s Valedictorian is our own MUSPPer – Jemima Lee Xin Yi! She gave a wonderful speech that made the instructors and her classmates proud 😊

As per the tradition of MUSPP, we came together to commemorate this milestone as Class of 2024 for a photo op! This year, we missed Sarah Lim, Eugene Koo and Shawn Ng who were not able to be at the Commencement! Although it was a hot and humid day, the excitement felt by everyone triumphed the heat.

Finally, a class photo!

A toast to ourselves! Let’s toss our caps!

Sharing some snippets from the heartfelt speech of MUSPP’s Jemima Lee Xin Yi, the valedictorian of this year’s graduating cohort:

“Firstly, I want to express my profound gratitude to the instructors at LKYCIC. It might just be recency bias on my part, but that doesn’t diminish the truth: you have been some of the best educators I’ve ever had in my life. Thank you for letting me pick your brains on a weekly basis. The mental stimulation has made me feel alive again and something I had long missed and yearned for while in the workforce.”

“To my MUSPP classmates, I am immensely grateful to have met each and every single one of you. Given our diverse backgrounds and nationalities, I have learnt so much from you both in and out of class. Thank you for the rich and meaningful conversations we shared over lunch, drinks, and everything else in between.”

“To my very own family, thank you for your support in my decision to pause my career and embark on this academic journey.”

As we mark the conclusion of the one-year journey, the commencement also heralds the beginning of a new season of life! Congratulations MUSPP Class of 2024!

We echo the Old Irish blessing for you:

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
